Derbyshire's support for Afghan people
We've all been moved by the scenes in Afghanistan of desperate people, who had been employed locally, fleeing the Taliban.

Roadworks will commence to improve the A6096 in July 2021.
Derbyshire County Council, as highway authority, are intending to introduce two traffic islands at each of the three junctions namely

Extra funding for community groups.
Are you part of a group that's supporting your local community through the coronavirus pandemic?
We're allocating an extra £50,000 to groups in Derbyshire which are doing their bit to support people in their local area.
We are making the money available to local community groups via the Public Health Covid-19 fund which was set up in June 2020.
