View live traffic cameras on our website

If you do need to travel and the weather looks bad, did you know that you can view live pictures from traffic cameras that we have across the county?

We have cameras at eight places in Derbyshire, or just outside, and the pictures on our website show the condition of each road. Each picture is updated at least every 20 minutes, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.... Read More »

Bid success for green entrepreneurs
Two new carbon-cutting projects have become the first to get funding from our Green Entrepreneurs Fund as part of a countywide drive to help tackle climate change.

St Chads Nature Reserve - Temporary Bridge Closure

St Chads Local Nature Reserve - Temporary Closure for essential bridge replacement works from 1st November

We will be closing St Chads LNR from Monday 1st November for approx. 1 week to remove the existing wooden bridges and replace them with purpose built metal and composite wood structures.

The car park AND reserve will be closed to all members of the public for visitors safety.
