2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. To mark the occasion, the lamp posts along Victoria Avenue Borrowash and Ockbrook will be supporting Commemorative Lamp Post Signs.

We are offering the opportunity for villagers to add a dedication to these signs. For £5 a dedication will be added under the Commemorative Sign showing the sponsor and their dedication. Any money collected over the cost of the original signs will be donated to the Royal British Legion to assist in the care of veterans and their families.

If you would like to sponsor a sign, please contact the Parish Clerk with the name of the sponsor and a short dedication (20 words max). Signs will be going up over the period 28th to 30th April and will remain until the end of August.
